Some of you may know our sister, Christine Tilley Thurston. She lives in Houlton, Maine with two of her sons and is an avid gardener. However, she has recently been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her tongue, and will shortly be undergoing radiation and possibly chemotherapy to try to shrink the tumor to the point where it could possibly be removed surgically. At this point, the cancer has not spread and the doctors want to treat it aggressively before it does. However, she will have to travel possibly daily up to two hours for these treatments.
