Help Support Christine and Her Children After a Tragic Accident

On Friday night, Christine, a devoted mother of three; was on her way to work when tragedy struck. While making a turn at a green light at highway 62 and Indian Canyon, a driver ran the red light and crashed into her car, causing it to flip. Emergency responders rushed her to the hospital, where doctors discovered she had suffered a massive stroke in the M1 area of her brain, along with multiple fractures.

Christine has since underwent emergency surgery to relieve pressure on her brain and spinal cord. While the surgery went as well as doctors could have hope, the prognosis remains uncertain. The medical team has told the family that if Christine pulls through, she may face life-changing challenges, including paralysis on one side and loss of speech and mobility.

Christine is not only a loving and hardworking mother — she’s also a familiar and trusted face in Desert Hot Springs. As an admin of the original Desert Hot Springs Neighborhood Group, she has always gone above and beyond to support her community, connect neighbors, and help others whenever she could. Now, it’s our turn as a community to come together and support Christine and her children in their time of need.
