Help Christine Ogilvie regain mobility post amputation

Donation protected
My name is Sheryl Shore and I am fortunate to have Christine Ogilvie in my life. Everyone who knows her has received her kindness, caring, loyalty and devotion.

It is time to give back and help Christine through this difficult time.

She recently had her right leg amputated just below the knee due to a rising infection from a previous foot wound.

This terrible event has not diminished her ability to find humour and inspire others to overcome their problems, and help them to reach their goals.

She has lost her sight in one eye. As well, she lost her big toe, and half of another toe on her left foot making balance a huge challenge.
She will need a prosthesis for this foot as well.

While in rehab she has been given a wheelchair on loan but will need to buy one specialized for her care. Christine has received funding for the first starter leg that will serve her for the next three to four months, but as the swelling from surgery reduces, and the muscles in the remaining part of her leg atrophy, she will need to buy a more permanent prosthesis. Once she leaves the rehabilitation hospital she will need to have her home refitted with support bars so she can regain her independence safely.

Although diabetes has ravaged her body, this formidable human being retains her generous spirit.

Please donate what you can, and share this with your network. Together we will help Christine begin this new leg of her life.
