Support Christine After Kem's Sudden Loss
Donation protected
Christine Tulis has lost her beloved life partner and soulmate, Kem Stralka. His passing was sudden and unexpected and occurred on January 29, 2025.
This fundraiser is to support Christine in rebuilding her life after this heartbreaking loss. These funds will be used to create a financial foundation for her new life without Kem, cover medical costs incurred during Kem's treatment, reimburse Christine for loss of work due to caregiving, and create three Celebration of Life gatherings.
Kem and Christine are widely known and loved for their music and sound healings, which they shared extensively during their 22+ years together. Kem was a master percussionist/drummer, pianist, workshop leader, composer, and music producer. In addition, he worked as an audio tech for NBC News. Christine is a harpist, singer, and healing arts practitioner. They shared their music all over the U.S. and produced three recordings together.
They have a large, extended community in the San Francisco Bay Area, Boulder, CO, and the Boston Area, especially Gloucester and Rockport. Since Kem is so deeply loved in these three regions, there will be a Celebration of Life in each one. Dates TBD.
In March of 2024, Kem was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma on his tongue. Despite pursuing multiple treatment options, Kem transitioned at home suddenly that Wednesday morning, January 29, 2025. Given the swift and unexpected nature of his passing his doctor said it was either a heart attack, stroke, or blood clot in his lung.
Kem and Christine shared a rare and powerful love. They are well known for the beautiful music, peace, and harmony that were the hallmarks of their relationship. The void in Christine's life is immense due to the loss of her beloved soulmate and musical co-creator. Your generous gifts will help her rebuild her life after this sudden and heartbreaking loss.
