Help Christine conquer tragedy & rebuild

 

Earlier this week, 2 days before Thanksgiving, a fire raged through the Longmeadow Salon where our mother rented space for her treatment room. The fire was so severe that it destroyed the entire plaza including Armata's and all of the other businesses. When we totaled up the damages just for her treatment room it was around $17,000 worth of equipment and product that was lost. The timing could not be worse as it is close to the holidays and she is weeks away from opening her own new spa that now has no equipment. She is now out of work until the new space is ready and not eligible for unemployment since she is a business owner of Ascension Spa. All of her equipment/retail was set to be moved to the new spa once it passed state board inspection and that was all lost in the fire causing additional delays.

 

This is following a string of challenging circumstances such as losing her mother to COVID, her own health complications and being shutdown for months due to COVID, as many unfortunately can relate. We are also working through complications with her insurance which covered liability but not damage caused by the fire. Her dream of finally starting her own wellness spa is within reach and after everything she has endured, this fire was quite the devastating blow.

 

My mom, Christine, is one of the most giving people I know. She always rushes to help others without even a second thought.

As a reiki master and holistic esthetician, she spends her time healing every one she comes into contact with. Many people in the Longmeadow, West Springfield, as well as Westfield area rely upon her for skin care as well as spiritual healing. The outpouring of support from the community has been so touching and we are already so full of gratitude to have such a wonderful support system around our mom.
