Help a Devoted Mother and Her Two Daughters Find Stability

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I’m reaching out on behalf of a dear friend from college—a kind, intelligent, and fiercely loving mother—who has recently fallen on incredibly hard times. She is currently homeless and living out of her car with her two young daughters. Despite doing everything “right,” she’s now facing a crisis with very limited options for help.

This is not a situation caused by substance abuse, domestic violence, or trafficking—factors that, while heartbreaking, often open the door to certain kinds of assistance. Because her situation doesn’t fall into these categories, she has found that most emergency resources and housing services are either unavailable or have long waiting lists that can take months or even years.

Incredibly, she’s still holding down a remote job to support her family—but in order to do that, she must have access to a secure internet connection, which most shelters cannot provide. Giving up her job would mean losing the last bit of stability she has, and potentially the ability to regain her footing. So, she’s made the heartbreaking decision to sleep in her car in order to keep working.

Her daughters are being homeschooled with love, patience, and dedication. And despite all of this, my friend is also enrolled in online college courses, striving every single day to build a better future for her family.

This campaign is to help her secure short-term housing—something safe, stable, and with reliable internet access—so she can continue working, caring for her children, and finishing her education. Funds will go directly toward:

• Temporary housing (Airbnb or extended stay hotel)

• Gas and car maintenance

• Basic necessities like food and hygiene products

• Educational supplies for her girls

• Internet costs to maintain her job and schooling

She is doing everything she can to create a future for her children. What she needs now is a village—people who believe in second chances and stepping up for those who are trying their hardest against impossible odds.
