Christina is undergoing surgery on December 7th to have a hysterectomy. She has been through a lot of pain and suffering over the years from several fibroids and thickening of the uterus and has been sent to the ER a number of times. She was diagnosed as precancerous and went in for surgery back in March of this year. The procedure was mostly successful and there was some improvement following, however her oncologists diagnosed her to have uterine cancer due to results covering a small area of testing. Now she has no choice but to have major surgery.

 

To add insult to more injuries, back in 2019 we were in a near death head-on car crash with a drunk driver who crossed the center line and into ours as we drove down Chautauqua in Pacific Palisades. I swerved to avoid and minimize the impact but the our car went out of control after the other car smashed into my driver's side which blew out both tires and caused the side airbags to deploy and then sent us head-on into a tree. Somehow we walked away from this with internal injuries and we have both been through a lot of physical therapy. She has needed numerous treatments and is still dealing with the impact to this day.

 

As we have survived the pandemic and now are prepare for her surgery, please say a prayer for my wife Christina. Her mom will be staying with us for the first week to help care for her in the interim. Fortunately, she will have a top surgeon with UCLA perform the operation and we have good health insurance. The bills and treatments have taken it's toll on us financially but we will continue to carry on and be strong through the upcoming weeks and on her path to recovery.
