Hi everyone, my name is Melissa and many of you might know me or my sister Christina Omani or even one of her kids or maybe Ruben himself.

My sister husband, Ruben, was diagnosed with esophageal cancer back in August and has had a very rough go, especially these past couple of months. My sister has been off work to care for Ruben throughout this whole process.

Well, on Dec 16, Ruben was admitted to the hospital where he required a massive transfusion due to blood loss. He was placed into the ICU after coming out of surgery to try to figure out where the bleeding was coming from. During this time, my sister was told that his tumor had grown and metastasized to other areas. On Saturday, December 20, my sister was told Ruben would most likely not survive the night, so that day Ruben was sent home on Hospice.

Days before Christmas, my sister has had to worry about the planning of a funeral and his last wishes but also when her last day with the man she fell head over heels for. Well, honestly, she fell in love with his butt and literally said that will be the man I marry. Here, 29 years later (31 altogether), she is not looking forward to the day she has to tell him goodbye. Amazingly, he has survived the holidays, but we all know his days are numbered and right now my sister could use some major help and prayers to help her through what will be the hardest thing any wife has to endure, losing their husband. Together Christina and Ruben have 3 kids, Robby, Bridget and Brooklyn. Also living with them are 2 young grandchildren who are their world.
