Help us raise funds for those in need rebuilding from the devastation of Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. No amount is too little.
We are very blessed Beverly Davis' family, including her children Christina and Amari, are safe, but there is much rebuilding to be done across the country.
Christina is working with local Jamaican authorities to distribute the funds to where it can have the most impact.
Many homes and buildings had roofs torn off or severely damaged, especially in the southwestern parishes such as St. Elizabeth Parish.
The southwestern parish of St. Elizabeth—often called the “breadbasket” of Jamaica—was hit especially hard, threatening farms, crops, and livelihoods.
The magnitude of damage is still being assessed; officials warned that many areas remain cut off and infrastructure (communication, roads, power) is severely compromised.
Recovery will be long and compounded by Jamaica’s tourism-dependent economy (which may suffer from damage to resorts/coastal infrastructure) and the agricultural hit.
