I'm a nurse who has always tried to help others, but over the past two months, I've faced a series of medical challenges that have turned my life upside down. I've had two surgeries, multiple hospital admissions, battled sepsis, a pulmonary embolism, and infections that just won't go away. It's been overwhelming physically, emotionally, and financially.

Because my employer doesn’t offer short term disability for part time employees, all of this has been unpaid. Our savings is gone, credit cards are maxed (one only has medical bills), and we've delayed payments as much as possible, but the bills keep coming. We're really struggling and just trying to get by, and it's been hard to ask for help.

I’ve debated (and prayed) whether or not to do a GoFundMe, but we’re at a point where we don’t have a choice.
