My name is Christina, and I’m reaching out because my life has been turned upside down. After surviving domestic violence from my husband, I lost my daycare license—a job I poured my heart into for over eleven years. That loss led to my home going into foreclosure, and now I’m struggling to find stability for myself and my dog. I’ve tried to get help through Medicaid and financial housing assistance, but I was turned down. The only support I receive is $25 a month in SNAP benefits, which barely covers anything.

I’m asking for help to cover basic needs like housing, paying bills, food for myself and my dog, and medical bills from my time in the hospital. Every bit of support will help me rebuild and find a safe place to call home again. I’ve always tried to help others, even in small ways—like giving a reusable bag to someone on the bus. My daddy used to say life is a bumpy road with a couple of smooth spots, and he was right. I never imagined I’d be in this situation, but I’m doing my best to keep going.
