Dearest Friends and Family,

This GoFundMe page is to raise support for medical and travel expenses for my upcoming MALS (Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome) surgery on July 2nd in Cleveland, Ohio.

We will be leaving on June 27th, and need to stay in the area for several weeks for pre and post-op appointments, surgery, and recovery enough to fly home safely on July 16th.

This comes at a time when my resources are completely depleted from years of debilitating chronic illness. Without outside assistance, I will not be able to cover the cost of wheelchair accessible lodging (for my dad, caregiver and myself), airfare, car rental, groceries, gas, incidentals and shipping some medical essentials ahead… not to mention any medical bills for the surgery and hospitalization. This is also in addition to my already overwhelming current medical a living expenses.

Although I am hoping and praying that there will be some improvement of symptoms quickly, the average recovery from MALS surgery is at least 1 year. There will be additional treatments and therapies necessary, many of which will not be covered by insurance. If you are able to help, you can give through this GoFundMe site.
