On Wednesday 9/4/24, our family got the news that no one ever wants to hear… Our sister, daughter, mother, wife and friend, Christina, was diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma cancer. It obviously was very shocking and devastating for her. Everyone who knows Christina, knows that she is ready to fight this head on and has the biggest and best support system to help her. She has been staying so strong! We are starting this GoFund me page to try and help alleviate the financial burden this is now going to put on their family. There are many doctor visits to Seattle for surgeries and treatments that have happened and are going to continue to happen, Including medical bills that no one is ever prepared for. Christina does have medical insurance, and this will help offset the costs of lost time from work, out of pocket medical expenses, gas and housing to and from Seattle, medications, supplements, and the unknown treatments that will arise. We finally have confirmation that she will have surgery Monday October 7th at Fred Hutch Cancer Center at UW in Seattle with an amazing team to find the spread and remove all this cancer for good! Any and all help, including just sharing this page, to remove these stresses from Christina, her husband Dean and their 3 children, Megan, Dylan and Marissa would be immense! Their focus needs to be on strength and support for her as well as Christina putting all her focus and energy towards beating this disease.
