Help Christina Dezall to walk again and live without pain

Hello, my name is Jessica Dezall, and I’m raising funds for my sister Christina’s medical expenses and upcoming treatment following a severe concussion and extensive injuries from a major accident.

One of the most gut-wrenching things I’ve ever witnessed is my sister struggling with basic abilities most take for granted, like carrying on a conversation, holding a glass of water in her hand, or even walking on her own. Not long ago, she told me she can’t remember what it feels like to not be in pain. Nothing quite compares to the spark of hope that I saw in my sister when we discovered a neurological rehabilitation clinic in the United States that might be able to help, so we’re hoping to raise enough funds to cover her treatment.

Christina’s life changed July 10, 2016, the day a major racing accident flung her from a moving vehicle to be slammed into the ground, head and shoulder first. Since that moment, Christina has had continuous pain in her head 24/7. Anywhere else in her body that doesn’t just hurt, she’s experiencing numbness that often includes nerve pain and nerve itch with no relief.

She’s experienced multiple concussions, most significantly were her 3 motor vehicle go-kart racing accidents, the crash in 2016 being the worst. She’s been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and also has Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS) and Dysautonomia.

Her life has been severely impacted by her symptoms which include:
— extreme head pain 24/7 (With 1 being the least, and 10 the worst, pain usually is between 8 and 10)
— dizziness, no balance, blackouts
— nerve pain and numbness
— inability to walk without assistance and can only stand for short periods of time (having to use a walker since January 2026, needing a wheelchair for longer distances)
— knees buckling regularly
— extreme fatigue
— many other symptoms

She has seen so many medical professionals, she’s lost count. She’s been to so many medical appointments with little to no help, and sometimes with further injury or worsened symptoms. My parents are the hardest working people I know and have soaked thousands upon thousands of dollars in the search to find help for my sister and have already accumulated substantial debt in their desperate pursuit, but we were all unprepared for the alarming worsening of symptoms that hit in November 2025, heightening the urgency to find answers.

Diagnosed with Salmonella, she was barely able to even keep food down, had pain in her stomach constantly, and she completely lost the ability to move her right leg. Walking on her own, which had been extremely difficult before, then became impossible. She’s had to use a walker since January 2026, and even though she’s regained some movement in her right leg, she still needs the walker and can only walk short distances at a time with the constant threat of her legs giving out.

May 14, 2026 marks her 24th birthday, and it’s hard for me to comprehend someone as young as my sister not being able to do any of the things she wants to do.

Finding the Keiser Clinic (https://keiserclinic.com/) in Michigan sparked the first ray of hope I’ve seen in my sister’s eyes in a really long time. Any size of donation helps and will make a huge difference in helping Christina not just get her health back, but get her life back.

I’ve never met someone as kind, generous, and selfless as my amazing sister. Even in the extreme amount of pain and discomfort she has experienced for the last 10 years of her life, she still relentlessly goes out of her way to help others and do kind things for people. She’s a hard worker with big dreams. When her mobility declined immensely with barely being able to walk, the thing she expressed the deepest frustration about was not being able to help those around her the way she did before, even while experiencing severe pain.

I’ve always looked for ways to help my sister or make each day better in some way, and while sometimes it’s hard to be vulnerable with the things that impact us in the deepest ways, my hope for this fundraiser is to not only ease the stress about the financial implications of her coming treatment, but to actually cover the cost in full and help her literally get back on her feet and doing the things she loves.

Donations will help with the cost of:
— the $1,350 USD daily rate for each day at the Keiser clinic (estimating 2-4 weeks of treatment)
— travel and lodging expenses during treatment
— ongoing cost for doctor recommended supplements and treatments that have been providing partial, minor, temporary relief for some symptoms
— knee braces, ankle braces, etc.
— medical/accessibility supplies: walker, accessibility handles, shower chair, wheelchair, etc.
— basic needs when necessary as she is currently unable to work due to her condition

We have been exploring as many avenues of government support and funding as we can, but some things are still only partially covered. Any support, even a small amount, is helpful in covering Christina’s ongoing expenses. Even a $5 donation counts, and both myself and my family appreciate every contribution, no matter the amount. Also, we understand financial strain, and would be very grateful to everyone who can simply spread the word and share this with anyone you can. Also, if anyone has any advice about lodging or the best healthier options for places to eat in the Chelsea, Michigan area, please comment or reach out.

Christina dreams of one day experiencing what it’s like to not have pain in her head and to be able to walk normal again. I hold onto the hope of seeing her once again do all the things she loves, ride horses, bake in the kitchen with her mom, make exquisite chocolate creations, design astounding personalized greeting cards, and play card games without excruciating head pain.

She’s booked to begin treatment at the Keiser Clinic on July 6, 2026, in Michigan, and she is eagerly counting down the days.

My sister is one of the most precious gifts God’s ever given to me, and I look forward to posting updates of her journey. Thank you for taking the time to hear my sister’s story. We appreciate any and all contributions, both financial and just spreading the word. Thank you.
