Hi everyone. My name is Sydney Fairman, and I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my best friend, Christina, and her husband, Chris.

Christina and Chris are an incredible couple; married for nearly two years and overjoyed to be welcoming their first baby this coming February! But their excitement has been shaken by an unimaginable accident.

On Saturday, 10/18, during a camping trip on the west side of Michigan, Chris was struck by a ricochet bullet in a freak accident. He was rushed to the hospital in Grand Rapids, where he underwent major surgery for serious internal injuries. He is currently still hospitalized there. While we’re so grateful that he is stable and awake, his recovery will be long and challenging and may require additional surgeries along the way.

Both Chris and Christina are currently unable to work as they focus on healing and navigating the uncertainty of the days ahead. Between medical expenses, lost income, travel and lodging costs, and basic living needs, the financial strain has quickly become overwhelming. On top of that, their baby fund, which they had been so diligently saving for, has had to be used to cover these unexpected costs.

I’m asking for your help to ease some of the financial burden so they can focus on what matters most: Chris’ recovery and Christina's comfort during this unbelievably stressful time.
