We are Jim and Leona Smith. We want you to meet our amazing niece, Christina Cammarn.
She has been diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Carcinoma, a very rare, aggressive cancer. She has begun chemo treatment and is ready for the long road ahead. That is her diagnosis, but let us tell you WHO she is.
Christina is a young 39 year old wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. A most kind hearted soul.
She has spent 15 years supporting elementary students, families and teachers with empathy and a deep belief in meeting each learner where they are. As a teacher she taught young children in inclusive, welcoming classrooms building trust with families and helped students grow academically and emotionally. As an EL instructional coach, she partners with teachers as they work to support students who need the most care and consistency. Christina empowers educators to approach their classrooms with compassion, clarity and confidence. She helps schools create environments where families feel valued, teachers feel supported, and students feel seen. She meets students where they are, understanding that their social-emotional needs must be addressed before learning can truly take place. At every stage of her career, Christina's commitment remains at the heart of her work. She is a champion for children!
Please donate to help lift the financial burden of addition medical expenses, loss of income and ongoing care associated with this most cruel disease. God Bless You!
