My name is Christiana Rabe, and I’m starting this fundraiser for myself and my family. Our only vehicle urgently needs all four tires replaced along with a mandatory alignment, and this is coming on the heels of another major car repair earlier this summer. Even though we had a fundraiser in the summer to help with that earlier repair, this new expense is coming too soon afterward for our budget to absorb. We’ve already had to put the cost of the tires on a credit card, paying $725.24 on September 27th so the work can be completed at our scheduled installation appointment on October 9th.

Because Costco doesn’t do alignments, we’ll have to get the alignment done shortly after the new tires are installed. The alignment is an extra cost on top of the installation, it cannot be put on Flex Pay, and we won’t know the exact price until the shop evaluates it, so that portion has to be paid upfront.

This van is essential to our daily life. It’s our only vehicle, and it’s how my husband gets to work every day, and how we get to medical appointments, groceries, and basic errands. Help with this bill would allow us to cover the cost of the new tires and the mandatory alignment so our vehicle can stay safe and reliable.

The timing has been especially difficult because November, December, and January are already heavy months for our household with several annual bills and renewals. We also have our vehicle registration fee due in November, which adds to the strain during an already tight season. Support with this expense would help keep our family stable and prevent this necessary maintenance from overwhelming our budget right before and after rent is due.
