Help Christian Stay at Howard

Donation protected
Hello, everyone! My name is Christian Zerangue, I am a junior Television/Film major and design minor from Houston, Texas. Throughout my college career, I have had to push through much adversity. When I first moved to the east coast, I had a job at Walgreens where I worked full time while having full-time classes my entire sophomore year until I was physically assaulted at work during my sophomore spring semester. This job helped me support myself as far as paying for school, and rent, but I could not return due to my safety. Because I lost my job I was forced to choose survival and focus more on my living situation instead of my academics, causing my grades to drop below a 3.0. Although I hit this roadblock, I refused to let it deter me from accomplishing my goals, so I continued to create. In the summer I went back to my hometown Houston, Texas where I created my youtube channel called the Muhnee Shot where I highlight local artists on campus and in my hometown through performance videos. I even continued to shoot music videos, create cover art, and build my portfolio overall which prepared me for the opportunities presented in my junior year fall semester. During this last semester, I had a job at Amazon in which I worked between 4 am - 9 am every day just to support myself. I also did freelance jobs for clients and classmates. I even had the opportunity to be backstage during yard fest and record many of the events that happened during homecoming. I also was allowed to start a communications internship that I still currently hold Aura which operates the Space Telescope Science Institute for Nasa. I was also able to increase my GPA back to a 3.0 from receiving all A's and one B this past fall semester. I was able to do all of this, while still struggling to pay for school and rent. Now I am at the point where I am not able to keep up with everything financially and I am now in a position where I am facing the possibility of eviction. Being at Howard has taught me more than just being better at my craft, it has also taught me to know when to ask for help when it is needed. That is why I have started this Go Fund Me. Thank you for every share and donation. It is greatly appreciated and will go far from unnoticed.
