Help Christian Perform with SCV!

Hi, my name is Christian Maakestad. I’m currently a sophomore student at Texas Christian University, studying Music Composition.

This year, I’ve been offered the chance to perform as a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard! Each year, SCV performs for tens of thousands of fans across the country, combining elements of live music, pageantry, and storytelling into engaging and vibrant productions. In 2025, the national tour will include over 20 competitions in major cities all over the US, including a few near my home state of Iowa. I will have the chance to study my passion for percussion with several world-class educators and other like-minded students.

Unfortunately, this activity is a tremendous financial undertaking, and it will be difficult to afford on my own. My tuition fees will help to pay for my transportation, housing, and meals for the entire summer. If you are willing and able, any contribution at all would be greatly appreciated.
