Hi
I'm Christian's mom.
He would never do this himself.
For those of you who know Christian, you know how much getting his education means to him. Christian has always strived to be a great student, performer and all around great person.
2020 was a very hard year for Christian. He had to take a gap year in 2019 which was unexpected. Then COVID hit. He's a server at the local Floyd's restraunt in Pearland. His hours were cut and made it hard for him.
Through all of this, he was still determined to start at Texas State to continue his education. Due to COVID he had to get off campus housing. He worked hard to raise the money for his apartment and all the things he needed for his apt. I didn't think starting school during COVID was a good idea, but he was determined to be back in school pursuing his vocal performing degree. When he got to San Marcos there were literally no job's. He tried everywhere. So.... He came home every weekend to work at Floyd's to make his rent money and money for other necessities. That's when the worst of 2020 happened..... He lost his beloved Gunga. His rock and heart..his grandmother passed in October. He was broken but determined not give up. He vowed to use the strength his Gunga always showed in her life..... He kept up his grades all while having to come back to Friendswood every weekend to work. He gets possibly 2 hours of sleep over the weekend... He work's double shifts and then does homework the rest of the time. He is dedicated ( those of you who know him..know this to be 100% accurate)
Student loans didn't cover the cost of his 1st semester and he still owes 1500.00. He cannot register for the next semester until this is paid. He has to register before the 19th.
He has been working so hard to make the money for rent..and other needs that this was not something he could come up with. The student aide dept said he could not do payment arrangements.
I'm only doing this because it's hard to know my child is working so hard and I can't help him. He doesn't qualify for loans and he's tried everything.
The last straw for me was to have my son lay his head in my lap and just cry.
So I'm asking if anyone has the ability to help its greatly appreciated.
Christian never asks for help. He would rather work more than even ask ME for help.
At this time though.. I know he truly needs help. I know it's a hard time for everyone so if you can't help financially, prayers would be appreciated also.
Thank you for reading this and thanks if you can help!
