Help The Foster's Find a New Home & Hope

Meet Christian Foster. Christian is a 29-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, with a heart as big as his smile. A proud Carroll High School alum, he was a talented athlete with dreams of going far—until life threw an unexpected challenge his way. What began with unusual symptoms and repeated falls during basketball practices turned out to be something far more serious. Christian was initially diagnosed with a rare parathyroid adenoma that ended his athletic dreams. But the deeper issue surfaced in November 2023—Christian was officially diagnosed with Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA) Type 3.

What is SCA?
SCA is a rare, inherited, and progressive neurological disorder. It affects coordination, balance, and movement—and it is terminal. There is currently no cure.

Despite the diagnosis, Christian isn't giving up. He’s pursuing his Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity at Clark State University and working a few hours a week at a local gym to maintain his independence and mobility. But as the disease progresses, Christian’s symptoms have worsened—especially triggered by cold weather and sudden weather changes.

The Fosters Need Our Help!

Christian and his devoted mother, Debbie Foster, are now facing new challenges that require immediate action. Debbie, a lifelong nurse who has cared for thousands of patients, is now focused entirely on her son’s care and well-being. Along with Christian’s sister, Alexis, they are committed to being his primary caregivers as his condition progresses.

They urgently need financial help to:

  • Move Christian to a warmer climate where he can better manage his symptoms
  • Find and secure a handicap-accessible home that supports his mobility needs
  • Cover ongoing and future medical expenses, including travel to specialized care at Ohio State University
  • Support daily caregiving needs and living expenses
  • Allow Christian to do a few bucket list adventures

The initial goal is to raise $250,000 to provide Christian and his family with the resources, comfort, and peace of mind they need during this incredibly difficult time.

Why Christian & Debbie Deserve Our Support

Anyone who knows Christian will tell you—he’s one of the kindest, most uplifting souls you’ll ever meet. His smile is contagious, his attitude inspiring, and his willingness to help others knows no bounds.

And Debbie? She’s a nurse, a mother, a caregiver, and an amazing friend to many. She has dedicated her life to helping others—and now it’s our turn to show up for her and Christian.
