Help Christian finish strong

Dear Friends and Family,

I’m writing to share an important update and a heartfelt request for your support as I work to finish my college education.

I was proud to be a student at Limestone University, where I completed my freshman through junior years. Limestone was more than just a school—it was a close-knit community of student-athletes, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. I was active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and participated in Bible studies and in the Christian Leadership Program. Each year, I knew almost everyone on campus—except when the new freshmen arrived!

During my time there, I competed in the Southern Atlantic Conference, earning 8th, 6th, and 4th place finishes in both the decathlon and heptathlon events. I’m honored to still hold the university’s record for the indoor heptathlon. I’m doing my best to carry on the athletic family tradition of Harry, Harold, John, Danny, and others.

I had every intention of graduating from Limestone. But earlier this year, the school unexpectedly announced it would be closing after nearly 180 years due to financial difficulties. I was shocked—just like all the other students and the Gaffney, South Carolina community. Overnight, every plan I had made for my senior year was gone. I lost my scholarships, housing, teammates, and the spiritual community I had come to love.

At first, I felt lost. I didn’t want to believe it. I kept thinking somehow it would all be reversed. But when the decision was final, I had no answers. I didn’t know where I’d finish school or how I’d afford it. Still, I clung to what I knew: that God has a plan, even when it doesn’t make sense, and that the work ethic instilled in me by my grandparents and family would carry me through.

By God’s grace, doors opened as quickly as Limestone closed. I’m now enrolled at Gardner-Webb University as a Business major. It’s an exciting step forward, and I’m on track to become the first of Harry & Anna Leviner’s 8 grandchildren to graduate from college.

But I can’t do it alone.

Gardner-Webb has generously agreed to match all church-based scholarships—meaning every dollar given on my behalf will be doubled up to the full cost of tuition. Your donation, large or small, will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters and go directly toward completing my education.

Many of you have asked how you can help—and this is the most meaningful way. If you feel led to support me, know that your gift is not only helping me finish strong but also sowing into a future shaped by faith, perseverance, and a commitment to honor God with whatever comes next.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me. I’m grateful beyond words for your prayers, support, and encouragement.
