- Hello my name is Valeria Leija and I am raising medical funds for my uncle Christian Fernandez on behalf of my cousins and his immediate family who are dealing with an immense emotional stress. He recently suffered an Aortic Dissection while abroad in Mexico City and was taken to a private hospital where lifesaving surgery costs 25,000 US dollars. They tried all they could to get him transferred but the surgery needed to be imminent and he is currently undergoing it. We ask that you give whatever you can as this situation and cost is unprecedented and we don’t want his family to undergo more stress than they are already in enduring. Hola, me llamo Valeria Leija y estoy recaudando fondos médicos para mi tío Christian Fernández en nombre de mis primos y su familia inmediata, quienes están lidiando con un estrés emocional inmenso. Recientemente sufrió una disección aórtica mientras estaba en el extranjero, en la Ciudad de México, y fue trasladado a un hospital privado donde una cirugía que le podrá salvar la vida cuesta 25,000 dólares estadounidenses. Hicieron todo lo posible para trasladarlo, pero la cirugía era urgente y actualmente se encuentra en curso. Thankfully, Christian is out of surgery and stable for the time being. He was traveling for work when this happened and as he’s essentially stranded in Mexico, his oldest son and brother will be traveling from France to stay with him while he recovers. The recovery time is still unknown at this time and as the stay in Mexico was unexpected we’re updating for the funds to help with room and board for his family and any extra medical expenses that come from recovery. We want to thank everyone who has donated so far, his family is very thankful.
