Hi, My name is Becky Howell and I am fundraising to help Christi Duffy pay for John Duffy's final medical bills.
On July 6th, 2021 John was working in the Applied Racing barn as usual when he started to feel confused and dizzy. Christi was nearby at the house when John called her for help. When Christi got to the barn, his speech was slurred, he was very confused and didn't remember recent events. Soon after, he collapsed. He was having a stroke. At the hospital, Christi was told he needed immediate surgery to save his life. He had a huge blood clot on the back of his neck which was restricting blood flow to the brain. He was rushed into surgery, but the next day he did not wake up. The doctors said the blood clot had damaged a huge portion of his brain. Tragically, he passed away two days later.
John did not have medical insurance. The hospital bills are over $95,000. Please help Christi cover the payment of these sudden and unforeseen medical bills. With the loss of John and the income from Applied Racing, her monthly income has been severely reduced.
If you knew John, you know he would bend over backwards to help anyone, at any time. He was incredibly kind, generous, and big hearted. He always greeted people with a big smile and open arms. If you are able, please continue with John's legacy of giving by assisting his dear wife, Christi.
