I met Christene while she was working in Old Orchard as a J-1 student, and from the very beginning, her warmth, kindness, and incredible work ethic stood out to everyone around her. She came to the United States with determination and a heart full of hope — always willing to help others, no matter how long her own day had been.

Sadly, her hometown was struck by Hurricane Melissa in October, and the devastation has been unimaginable. Homes have been destroyed, roads are impassable, and many families -including hers - have gone days without access to clean water, electricity, or basic necessities. Despite all of this, Christene continues to stay strong and hopeful, but she urgently needs help to recover and rebuild.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a real difference. Funds will go directly toward essentials like food, clean water, medical supplies, and helping her and her family start to rebuild their home and community.
