Help Chrissy's Road to Recovery

On February 20, 2024, tragedy struck Chrissy Filskov. Chrissy is 54, a loving wife and mother of four. Until recently, Chrissy led a vibrant and full life. She was involved in her children’s lives all through school by volunteering whenever she was needed. Chrissy would offer help to whoever needed it. Chrissy loves cooking, ghost hunting, and watching True-Crime TV. The holidays are Chrissy’s favorite time of the year.

Chrissy went into the hospital for needed surgery. During recovery, Chrissy suffered massive internal bleeding. Two arteries were bleeding, and she underwent a procedure to stop the bleeding. At some time during her recovery, Chrissy suffered an extremely rare stroke in her spinal column. This has left her paralyzed from the waist down.

Chrissy has been in three different hospitals and is preparing to come home to a new way of life. Chrissy is wheelchair bound and will need a lot of help and care going forward. Insurance has helped, but the costs of her new life far exceed what they are willing to help with. The costs for the modifications that must be made to Chrissy’s house, specialized home care, and supplies she will need are unbelievable.
