Hello friends and family! As some of you may know I am attending California State University of Bakersfield where I am pursing my bachelors degree in Nursing. Our nursing program has a global outreach / study abroad course where students are selected to travel foreign countries and serve those communities. I was given an incredible opportunity to travel to Zambia, Africa with a team of fellow undergraduate nursing students, nursing faculty, and nursing alumni. This trip will take place in the beginning of June 2024 and will be approximately 10 days in duration. While abroad we will be visiting remotes areas and providing community outreach services including health screening, health services, and health education to members of the community. We will also be visiting a local hospital where we will serve and participate in care. At the end of the trip we will have the opportunity to go on a mini camping safari to explore and admire the beautiful wildlife. The goal of the organization is to simply aid this community while admiring the joy and love that the people emit. Many countries such as Zambia are home to beautiful villages with happy and healthy people who have so much to offer the world and I am beyond honored to have the opportunity to experience their life and lend a hand where it is welcome.

The cost of the trip has been reduced to $1,800 thanks to generous donations and funding on CSUB's behalf, however this is quite an expense. By donating you will be supporting not only me but the people who we will be visiting. Any contribution is greatly appreciated! If you are unable to contribute, that is completely understandable.
