Hello, My name is Chri'shawn McLean, and I am a rising sophomore attending McDaniel College.

I'm a struggling student that thought I could do everything on my own and get through school without needing to bother anybody with my own burdens. I was raised by a strong single mother who has always done everything in her power for me and my sister. Despite her love, support, and sacrifices, this financial burden of college has become overwhelming for us. I'm currently attending college while also playing football. A sport that has been a huge part of my life since I was 6 years old. Football has taught me a lot throughout my years: discipline, teamwork, and resilience. These values carry me on and off the field.

As a student-athlete, my schedule is incredibly demanding. Between early morning workouts, multiple meetings during the day, and also my classes. My day is full from start to finish. I barely have any free time, which makes it nearly impossible to hold a steady job while keeping up with school and football responsibilities. I want to be able to stay in school, play the sport I love, and work toward my degree, but I can't without any help.
