Hello, my names Devlin. I’m Christopher McDaniel’s oldest child and son. My father has come down with the Covid Pneumonia. He has been in the hospital since September 16th and has been fighting Covid since September 12th when he was alerted by a positive Covid test. He is now fighting for his life on a ventilator because his breathing is so bad. The Olympic Medical Center updated me on Sept. 20th that they were taking him off the BIPAP, They would be inducing a medical coma and switching him to a ventilator so his brain and body doesn’t need to produce as much oxygen to allow his body to fight everything going on. I’m not asking for financial assistance because he has Covid. I get it it’s a big deal right now all over. However to the friends, family and those concerned a little can go along way as long as everyone pitches a penny into the fountain. Everyone who knows my father personally knows that he will do a lot for others especially physical labor. He will not be able to recover in an instant and get back to his daily tasks that he’s known for. So I’m here creating this go fund me knowing that in this moment he would love knowing he has the whole town praying and helping anyway that they can. He’s a fighter and his family believes in him to pull through but he won’t be able to pull through everyday afterwords in recovery without you.

All the funds will be directly for medical bills that’s not covered by state. At the moment we are trying to get state medical insurance for him. The funds will also go towards any bills and post hospital needs as far as medications and etc to assist his recovery stress free of finances and feeling the need to work immediately out of the hospital.

A little about my Father, He is a very hard headed Gentleman with big dreams and Ambitions but he’s a giant teddy bear for his children. I’m his oldest child at 24 most that know our family say I’m a spitting image of him. He became Grandfather this year. My son Harrison is the one in the picture with him. I have two sisters and a brother on his side. Hannah who’s 18, the other Kelsee who’s 12. Our youngest sibling is 4 who’s name is Issac. Some would say my father is a workaholic because that’s all he does wether it’s building additions to houses or building garages from the ground up to even auto mechanics or scrapping metal. I got all my skills from my father and he truly inspired my future and the path that I walk everyday. He’s not done inspiring my siblings yet though. That’s why we need him to pull through with prayers from you guys. I’m honestly concerned about what opportunities he will have for work till he can fully recover, because me and him are alike. We’re both hands on physical work type of guys. It’s common sense to us and comes naturally. Anything other then that it’s like expecting a clock to tell you the time but it doesn’t have batteries. There’s so many memories throughout my life where I can recall so many little acts of kindness that he’s has done over the years and now he needs as much support as he can get. We love our dad and we know he loves us twice as much!
