Help Chris with Medical Expenses and Recovery

Hello everyone,

 

On January 2nd, 2022, Chris contacted his family to notify them that he was shot multiple times by a passing vehicle. After he was rushed to the emergency, the medical team discovered that he suffered from 3 -gun shots to the leg, severely damaging his femur, fibula, tibia. and another gun shot that blew through his dominant hand causing multiple fractures in many places.

 

He nearly lost his life that night, but miraculously he is still with us and fighting to recover. Within the past two weeks, he endured extensive surgery and received two blood transfusions due to significant blood loss. After being on oxygen and with many surgeries ahead in the near future, He will undergo repairing his hand and possibly gaining the ability to walk on his own again.

 

Not only will he have to seek physical therapy, but he will also need mental and occupational therapy. With these injuries, his mobility has been greatly affected as the only way he can get around is with assistance and a wheelchair. Not being able to use both hands and legs has taken away his independence and his ability to provide for himself in the ways he could before.

 

Before this tragic incident, he was a very hardworking person, working a full-time and part-time job to help support him and his family. He recently received a promotion in which he has yet to start due to this tragic incident. Doctors are optimistic that he will be able to return to work after at least 4 months of recovery.

 

This has been a hard time for him and his family to adapt to this life altering experience. We have had a lot of people reach out and send prayers, which we are forever grateful for. We have created a Gofundme in order to help alleviate financial stress so he and his family can focus on his road to recovery.
