Hello all,

As fate would have it, our friend and yours, Christopher Haught, needs our help.

For a few months he has been in pain, and toughing it out like people tend to do. He thought he was "only" passing a kidney stone or two. When that was not enough to make him go to the doctor, he was given more pain until he relented and went to the hospital.

Turns out that one of his kidneys was so bad it was encapsulated, as his body tried to protect him from what was going wrong. They ended up taking out the kidney, and they did so with an old fashioned big incision so that they could hopefully get everything out in one piece, and not disturb any cancerous cells. Chris has a bad family history with cancer though and they are being extra careful and vigilant.

While he was dealing with all this, and getting the normal battery of tests, the doctors realized that Chris is diabetic, and was born with a defect in his heart. The doctors said that if the kidney hadn't sent him in, so that they could find this defect, he might have been gone in a year with little or no warning!!

So when he gets better from the kidney surgery he has to go back in and get his heart repaired. This will all mean several months off of work, and no money to pay for bills etc.

Chris is always the first to lead the charge for someone in need. He rarely asks for any kind of help for himself. Please help spread the word for this kind soul, and let's get him through this so his big ol' heart can be 100% and we can have him back to rocking on the stage with The Hudson Run Band!
