Sofia was Finally able to see him for the first time in person Christmas Day. 2025 is gonna be Chris’s Year Folks. Keep the Donations and Prayers coming ! They are working and Helping!

Update 11/18: Chris, in typical fashion, has not had an easy transplant journey. His body rejected the first transplant. And had been fighting an internal infection. 11/12 he received a second liver transplant. Liver is a little smaller, but a much healthier liver. Now, he is having breathing issues and has to have a Trach inserted tomorrow. He also has another bacterial infection in his lungs. They are already treating that. It looks like Chris, will still be at OSU for another 2 months !!! Please keep him in Your thoughts and prayers.
Updating 9/28/24 as of 8am Chris was Rushed into OSU in Columbus OH for his life saving Liver Transplant. Our Prayers have been Answered. Now comes prayers for a healthy and safe recovery. With this, Chris and Krista both are gonna be outta work for the foreseeable future. Please Help me, Help them have a piece of mind during this time. Anything will help. CHRIS WON Chris is getting a Second Chance at LIFE ❤️

Hello, my best friend Chris Riesenburg founding drummer, former member of Black Veil Brides. He has been fighting for his life trying to get a liver transplant through UC Medical Center in Cincinnati OH. Friends, Chris was born with alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, a rare disorder that attacks the liver from the minute your born, until it kills the liver totally, that is where he is, and it's a brutal, unforgiving illness. He gets between 5 and 15 liters of fluids sucked out of his mid section every week. This kid is a warrior, and though he currently has been slowed by the illness, he's also a very gifted artist and musician. His tattoo shop, the second that's he's started has seen some of the best actors and athletes come through the doors. Anthony Muñoz, his son. Many Bengals and Reds players and others. Kyle Rudolf, the Elder high football star, who went on to play for the Vikings, had Chris do an entire sleeve. When Kyle got back to Minnesota, so many players loved that work so much that they flew Chris to Minnesota, where he proceeded to tattoo several players there. This kid played drums in a band called the Black Veil Brides, that were signed to a record deal in LA, but Chris wasn't able to maintain that schedule, and left the dream of his life. That band is still signed to this day. We are killing ourselves trying to get Chris a transplant. That process is very difficult to complete for both the recipient, and the donor. I'm praying for a living donor. I have a difficult time reconciling myself when it comes to another family in total misery and pain over losing their loved one, while our family celebrates the possibility of Chris being here with us for many years to come. Please consider signing up to be a donor folks. It's easily done online, it could save a life. And frankly, God will be far more interested in your soul anyway. I'm sorry for the speech but I love this young man, his beautiful wife Krista, very special young daughter, Sofia. Finally, a final request. When you're talking and praying with our creator, please, please, put a word in for Christopher-Paul Riesenberg , we need a big break, and we need it soon. Our family is eternally grateful. Thank you.

A Direct Quote from Chris during a recent hospital stay:
I’ve spent over 225+ hours laying in a hospital bed, getting stabbed, here on the 2nd floor of UC. You never know how bad you want to live until death is at your doorstep. The fear of Death riddled me , but it’s inevitable, it’s a guarantee. The biggest fear in my life is Time. Will I have enough? Am I going to live long enough to scare my daughter’s first boyfriend, or walk her down the aisle? Will I live long enough to make it up to the love of my life… for all the lost time, the things we couldn’t do or places we’ve wanted to go. Will I be on this earth long enough to that I’ll be holding your hand 40 years from now, sipping coffee, old and wrinkly talking about our grandkids ? You never appreciate your arm until you lose it. Don’t take for granted all of the things you get to do everyday, and try to remember the only time that matters is now.
