Our family never imagined that our lives could change so quickly. In a matter of moments, everything was turned upside down. The days since his accident have been filled with uncertainty, fear, and countless prayers.
Chris is an amazing father, husband, brother, grandpa, and son. He is the kind of person who is always willing to help others, puts his family first, and works hard every day to provide for the people he loves. Today, our family is asking for help as he faces the fight of his life.
On the morning of Saturday, June 20, 2026, while riding his motorcycle to work, Chris was involved in a devastating hit-and-run accident on Highway 177. The driver responsible left him alone in the middle of the highway. Thankfully, his phone detected the crash and sent an emergency notification that helped alert others that something was wrong.
The injuries Chris suffered are extensive and life-changing. Some of the injuries he has endured so far:
* A shattered femur
* A broken wrist
* Multiple broken ribs
* A broken sternum
* Multiple facial fractures
* Broken upper and lower jaws
* Fractured eye sockets
* A small brain bleed
As doctors continue to evaluate him, we are learning more about his injuries every day. The full extent of his recovery is still unknown.
Chris has already undergone surgery and is now facing additional surgeries and procedures. His doctors have explained that some of the days ahead will be among the hardest physically, mentally, and emotionally. The pain, uncertainty, and long recovery process are overwhelming, but Chris continues to fight with incredible strength.
The road ahead will involve additional surgeries, hospital stays, rehabilitation, physical therapy, specialist appointments, and months of healing. During this time, he will be unable to work, and our family is facing mounting medical expenses along with the loss of income.
We are creating this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden so our family can focus on what matters most: Chris’s recovery. Donations will help with:
