Help Chris Rebuild After Whitaker House Fire

Chris Gadsby has been a cornerstone of the Whitaker neighborhood in Eugene for over 20 years. As the founder of the Whitaker Block Party, Chris has brought the community together with music, outreach, and fun for all ages for 15 years. His dedication to the neighborhood is well known—he treats everyone, including many who are homeless, with respect and kindness, always offering a helping hand and a welcoming spirit.

Last night, Chris’s home was destroyed by arson. In the chaos, the suspect also stole his three beloved dogs. Thankfully, the dogs are safe, but they are now without a home. Chris lost everything in the fire, left with only the clothes on his back and a single pair of shoes. The immediate needs are urgent: covering the cost of boarding his dogs, replacing essential items, and finding temporary shelter while he begins to rebuild his life.
