I'm Chris, and I'm a medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Almost exactly a year ago, I was lucky enough to start paying toward my first home, but recently the floods in the Milwaukee area have introduced a major hurdle all of this. About 8 feet of flood water/sewage entered my basement, and more or less everything down there will need to be replaced. The sudden hit of needing to replace my furnace, AC, water heater, most of my walls/insulation/electrical wiring/flooring/all of the items ends up being quite a bit more than my home insurance will pay out (well, some info about this is still pending, but getting money from home insurance about water damage is very challenging). If you're willing to donate and/or help toss/clean stuff from the basement, any amount of help is super appreciated.

I also realize that a disproportionate amount of my friends are also students. Please please please do not feel obligated to donate. My intention is not to burden my friends and family. Hopefully, things will work out some way or another.
