On July 10th, 2025 Chris Paugh was teaching his small adult daughter how to drive. While pulling into her grandparents’ driveway, she panicked and gave it a little too much gas. Chris grabbed the wheel and steered the vehicle away from the garage and towards the woods in the back of the house. The car did not stop until it hit a tree, totalling the car and nearly decapitating father and daughter. After an ambulance ride and a brief ER visit, both father and daughter are okay. The car, only recently financed, is beyond repair. Insurance has only covered the value of the car, leaving a significant balance on the loan. We are raising funds to pay off the loan so that Chris doesn't have to wait another five years before acquiring a new car.

Chris Paugh is an accomplished stand up comedian, a career which requires a vehicle unless you intend to string along a series of openers to drive you to remote locations in exchange for stage time or rely on the kindness of friends. Rather than reeking of cigarettes before every gig because Jeremy Sheer’s car can turn every item of clothing into a smoking jacket, we would like Chris Paugh to have a car again.
