Hi, my name is Katherine and my husband, Chris Juneau, has Tourettes syndrome. After battling this neurological disorder for over 30 years, he has been asked to participate in research for a treatment that is very promising and may reduce tics by over 40%. The treatment does not involve medications or invasive brain stimulation. He is eager to be a part of something that may be life-altering for those with Tourettes. The research pilot is taking place at Washington University in St.Louis, Missouri, quite a distance from Youngsville, LA. My hope is that we can raise enough money to cover the 3 flights round trip as the project requires multiple visits. Anything you would be willing to contribute will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for considering this cause and please understand that this is not just for Chris, but for all individuals dignosed with Tourettes syndrome.
UPDATE: Chris made the first trip!!!! It was successful!!!! For the first time since 7years of age, he got to experience life without tics for about 10 minutes. TEARS OF JOY!! He goes back for round 2 on the 26th of February. We are halfway to our goal. Anything you can contribute would be such a blessing and so appreciated .
