Dearest Friends and Family - I have created this Go Fund Me on behalf of my father, Chris. Many of you may have heard, my Dad had been a patient at Banner Medical Center University - Phoenix, AZ. Just yesterday after being there for 15 long days, he was able to go home to continue his long road of recovery a head at home.
A little back story for those who may not know...8 years ago, my father underwent a Liver Transplant as Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. This life saving surgery was a miracle for our family, and he has been doing amazingly well until recent events.
For the last year and a half my fathers business, C&J Carpet Care has been affected because of the Corona Virus Pandemic. He had lost his health insurance and wasn't able to stay on his treatment course for his new liver and began to ration his anti-rejection medication. A few weeks ago he was starting to not feel well but would still push through with the few jobs that he was getting. Well little did he know his liver began the liver rejection process. Once in the hospital, they were trying to stabilize his liver, when his kidneys were starting to shut down and fluid was building up in his abdomen. He had a procedure done to remove this fluid (3 liters) to help his kidneys do their job.
During the 15 days in the hospital he underwent many rounds of blood tests, CT scans, procedures, and treatments, that all definitely took a toll on him physically, emotionally as well as mentally. Spending any amount of time in the hospital is hard, but doing so during a pandemic makes it even harder.
This is where our family needs YOUR help, as this will be a huge financial toll on him and our family since he did not have health insurance at the time.
