Hi everyone,

My name is Chris, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit.

A few days ago, my boyfriend Naethan and I were in a car accident that completely totaled our vehicle. Thankfully, we’re both okay physically — and we’re deeply grateful for that — but emotionally and financially, it’s been a real blow.

I did have insurance on the car however it is marked totaled by the insurance and, with my coverage, we don't qualify for a new one provided by insurance.

Our car was our only way to get to work, and now we’re left with no transportation and no safety net to replace what we lost. I also work in production for commercials here in Los Angeles, which often means I need to travel across the city — sometimes at odd hours or to remote sets. Without a reliable car, I can’t do my job, and that puts both our livelihoods at risk.

We’re doing everything we can, but the cost of replacing a vehicle — even a modest, reliable one — is more than we can manage right now, especially with the suddenness of the accident and the cost of living in LA.

We’re hoping to raise 1,400 to help us buy a cheap used car that can get us safely to work and back as we rebuild from this. Every donation, no matter how small, will help get us one step closer to stability.
