Help Chris Mercer Overcome Homelessness

Hello all! My dear friend Chris Mercer, who I have known for almost 30yrs has had some really rough times lately, and is now homeless. He has been living on the streets of Atlanta for over two months. With temps in Atlanta hitting the 100 degree range, he is most often dehydrated, hungry and until a few days ago, was unable to get a shower for 2 months. He lost his phone when he got mugged a few weeks ago, and as we all know, you cannot function in this society without a phone. I have been doing twice weekly meals and clothing exchange with him for about a month now. I have gotten him hooked up with the best social workers this city has to offer, but the system is so over burdened, things are moving painfully slow. His only family is a brother out in California who has been helping as much as he can, but everyone is stretched pretty thin right now. If you have anything, even if it is just a dollar, please consider helping this sweet man get back on his feet. It is an uphill battle, but we have a plan, and with your help, I really think we can get him off the streets, employed and sleeping in a bed again. Please help if you can!
