Happy Thanksgiving

Love Chris

It’s in the darkest moments that the stars shine the brightest! Dear Chris, you surely are a star that keeps glowing and shining! Your light will never dim as long as you keep doing what needs to be done and fighting whatever comes your way
.

Chris wants to thank everyone for all blessings, good wishes, prayers and help.  This picture was taken tonight in front of Charlton Hospital with Milo.
Although, Doctors and the medical teams are taking good care of him, it’s his friends and WBSM listeners who are literally helping to support him.  Without all of you it could have been a different scenario.   THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
LOVE, CHRIS ❤️

Chris finally left the Charlton Hospital last Wednesday June 9th, 2021.   He is so thankful for all of the cards, prayers, well wishes, pictures and donations from all of you.  85 days he spent in the hospital.  He has a long road ahead that unfortunately must conquered in a small window of time.

Imagine, surviving COVID and FINALLY leaving the hospital and expecting to fully recover, BUT no COVID is not finished with you yet.

Chris now has complications from the series of strokes caused by COVID.  Paralysis on his left side has taken away Chris's ability to perform simple things he used to do and take for granted.   Your help will provide him receiving physical therapy, medical care. exercise equipment  and list he needs ASAP to get back in top form.  He can and will do it!  He has to work his dickens off in short window of time.

On Sunday March 14, 2021 after increasing shortness of breath the Fairhaven EMT arrived and were alarmed at Chris's oxygen levels.  He was immediately was transported to St. Luke's Hospital via ambulance after being examined by EMTS.

Little did Chris know when he arrived at the St. Luke's Emergency Room that Sunday morning, he would NOT be going home anytime soon.

On admission to the ER Chris was give Decadron and antibiotics.  His chest x-rays showed white patches in his lungs also called infiltrates and was placed on heated high flow oxygen and admitted to telemetry.  These units are utilized for monitoring patients at risk for life-threatening dysrhythmias and sudden death.

The harrowing days that followed, Chris suffered multiple strokes, heart attacks, pneumonia , 2 collapsed lungs, insertion of tubing for lung infection, suffered major vocal cord damage and that was just the start.

Chris is a great person who loves to talk.  He can talk about anything, and not only does he love to talk but he listens too.  Usually, the people that talk a lot, also control the conversation.   Not Chris though, he listens intently to every word you say.   He will give advice, comfort or just plain old listen.

But don't let the plain old listening fool you, Chris is a political science phenom.  He can strategize, analyze, forecast politics or any topic with the best of them.  Most say he is smarter than most of the strategists you see today.

75 days later he is still fighting his COVID 19 battle and he still not going anywhere soon.  Chris has a long way to go before he gets back to his passion of journalism and talking to his radio audience who he truly loves to talk with everyday.  He loves his friends who he talks with all the time.  Chris is truly happy when he is talking with his friends, talking on his daily radio show, playing with Milo, and talking politics.

If you know Chris, you know he is willing to help or rally whether it be political strategizing or getting money raised for an important event in our community.

We are asking for any help as he endures this nightmare that no one should EVER GO THROUGH. and all the associated medical costs that will incur.

He need us now more than ever.

Please help Chris in anyway you can he has long, long road ahead.

He misses you all so much.   He will get the sparkle back in his Irish eyes and his smile, when he can talk with you all again.

Thank you.
