Help Chris & Family Rebuild After Deadly Fire
Donation protected
On Monday, January 3rd when most of us were heading into work, anticipating what the New Year would bring, or goals we would achieve, a horrific tragedy was occurring in Poulsbo, Washington.
My friends John and Chris were your typical PNW couple who loved the outdoors, adventure, and gardening. During the early morning hours of that day, a fire broke out in their Poulsbo home. Unfortunately, the recent snowstorm and downed trees prohibited emergency response from getting to their home before the fire destroyed everything. John unfortunately did not survive this tragic event. Chris was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle to begin treatment for multiple burns to his hands, arms, and face. There are no words to express the loss that is felt daily with John's passing. A mother lost her child, a spouse lost their soulmate, and so many of us lost a caring, thoughtful friend.
There is a long road to recovery for Chris and family members. They need assistance with travel and celebration of life expenses in honor of John, the cost of Chris’s ongoing medical treatment, as well as unexpected expenses insurance will not cover. For most of us, the thought of losing a spouse, home AND worrying about the costs associated with such a tragedy is a horrible nightmare. This is now a daily reality for Chris and family. The outpouring of support has been wonderful and very much appreciated, however there is so much more that is needed. I’m a firm believer that if everyone gives just a little, it will add up to so much. Your generosity is appreciated beyond any words I can express here on behalf of this family. Please consider donating to this fund and sharing this on your page. Thank you.
