Help Chris Get His Lifesaving Kidney Transplant

Hi, my name is Crystal, and I’m fundraising for my husband, Chris Lasley. He’s currently on the kidney transplant list at Baylor Annette C. & Harold C. Simmons Transplant Institute, and we are preparing for the call that could change—and save—his life.

Chris is one of the hardest-working people I know. He works 6 days a week to maintain full-time status at his job, which is the only way he can keep his health insurance. On top of that, he juggles a grueling dialysis schedule and countless doctor appointments. His one “day off” is usually spent sitting in waiting rooms for medical checkups.

When we finally get the call for his transplant, we will both have to be in Dallas for 6 weeks post-op. During that time, neither of us will be able to work. We are trying our best to prepare financially, but the numbers are overwhelming. We need to raise funds for:

6 weeks of hotel stay near the hospital – approx. $3,000

6 weeks of regular household bills – approx. $7,200

We are both full-time workers doing our best, but this is more than we can handle alone. I know times are hard for everyone, and asking for help is incredibly humbling—but I have to try. Chris has come such a long way to even make it onto the transplant list. He deserves this chance without the added stress of wondering how we’ll afford to be by his side in recovery.
