Help Chris, Jess and Noah rebuild their home
Hi everyone,
As many of you have probably heard, the Delair Court apartment building in Abbotsdord caught fire in the early hours of the morning on Sunday, Feb 14.
Jessika and Chris Tranquada and Jess’s younger brother, Noah Wiebe, lived in this building and woke up to the fire alarms. They were able to grab their cats and a computer, but everything else was left behind when they evacuated the building- the full extent of the damage won’t be known until the fire is entirely diffused, which could take days.
I know that COVID and it’s associated social restrictions make it a bit complicated to practically help those that we love. I created this gofundme page along with Meredith, in the hopes that we can, as a community, rally around this sweet family as they spend the upcoming days, weeks and months rebuilding their life.
COVID has taken it’s toll on all of us in every way- socially, financially, spiritually, practically and economically, so I understand that asking for money is big. Please know that every little contribution helps, even if just to remind them they aren’t alone.
Immediate tangible needs:
1. Pet friendly rental suite in Abbotsford or Chilliwack
2. Two computers in relevant working condition- they now only have one computer between the three of them. They are all full-time students who have converted to an online platform of learning during COVID. They need access to equipment that can help them complete their semesters.
If you have any further questions or if you have access to specific resources that may be helpful during this time, please message me directly, and I will pass it through to them.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
xoxo B
