Help Chris Jackson secure housing after Hurricane Milton
Donation protected
Hey Friends! We just went through three hurricanes in Pinellas County and Sean and I got lucky that even though there is damage we still have a roof over our head. Sean and I’s friend Chris Jackson did not get so lucky. He lived in a two-story six unit apartment on Madeira Beach. After Helene the units on the first floor were flooded out, he wasn’t sure if he was going to have to move because of the mold growing because they weren’t allowed back on the island. He was staying there anyways with no power or water, then 13 days later Hurricane Milton came. This time the second floor apartments were destroyed because the roof flew off the building. Luckily he had removed his computer and some valuables but his furniture was destroyed some clothes and now has no where to live and has been hopping around.
Chris was one of the first friends we made when we moved to St. Pete, 7 years ago. We had speech together when I was still working on my associates degree and have voted together and he’s been all around so positive despite what’s happened.
I wanted to help raise some funds to help secure him housing as quickly as possible, as both him and his roommate are displaced and have missed significant amounts of work the last two weeks.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this. I attached some screenshots from the video he sent me the morning after. Every little bit helps and I’ll help him find housing outside of a flood zone. If you want to see the video he sent me I uploaded it to YouTube and embedded it below:
