As many of you know, Chris was hospitalized this week due to a severe case of pancreatitis.

Doctors discovered a stone blocking his bile duct, and his gallbladder is full of stones. He is scheduled for surgery tomorrow and will likely remain in the hospital until Friday.

Unfortunately, Chris has already missed nearly a full week of work and may need to take an additional one to two weeks off to recover. His job does not offer paid sick leave or vacation time, and while his insurance will cover his hospital stay, it won’t cover follow-up doctor visits or medications once he’s discharged — those will all be out-of-pocket.
