Help Chris get his "magic leg".

I am Veronica, Godmother to Chris and long time friend to his mom, Andrea. Last year, Chris had a bicycle accident and broke his leg. Please take a moment to read his mom's words of what transpired: "On August 18th our middle son, Chris, broke his femur. He had emergency surgery to repair the break that night. We questioned how that break could have occurred as did the pediatric orthopedic surgeon at the Children's Hospital of SA. They sent Chris for a CT the next week. Three days later he was scheduled for a sedated biopsy at BAMC. The Tuesday after Labor Day we received the results, " Your son has osteosarcoma." I remember not being able to breathe. We told all three boys together that night. We don't keep things from our boys. I don't think I've had a good night's rest since that phone call. It's not something you are ever prepared for...ever. September 11th Chris started his first cycle of chemotherapy. He's a strong kid, a warrior, a fighter. He was released Friday, September 13( I think). He was tired and slept lots. He got a fever on Thursday (9/19) morning and was admitted at BAMC, got some meds, was monitored, and released Monday September 23rd."

On November 26th, Chris had an operation, Rotationplasty. This was done to ensure that he would continue to live cancer free.

On May 30, 2025, Chris completed his last round of chemo!

Now he begins the long journey of physical therapy and will learn to live his life with a "magic leg".

This journey has not been easy on Chris or his family. They have not asked for any type of help from anyone during this long and stressful journey. But as Chris's "magic leg" and physical therapy is not fully covered by insurance, they will need assistance to cover these additional costs.
