Hello.. My name is Christopher and I made this GoFundMe in hopes of getting enough help to get an electric wheelchair for myself since I'm paralyzed from the neck down...I was the victim of a hit and run accident while I was riding my bike to work in San Francisco and I broke my C5 in my neck..I was struck blindsided and was left in the middle of the street until a random driver had stopped to see if I was okay and I had him call 911 for me...The paramedics eventually told me that in most cases the SF police are hardly ever willing to come and help, and that the driver will most likely never be caught or even pursued..
This has honestly been the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with in my entire life.. I've been here in the hospital since January 15th of 2020 and I havent been able to get any kind of assistance regarding the matter because I don't have any information on the driver..I just really wish my life was still the same as before..
So with this being something that I desperately need and knowing that I'll never be able to afford it myself now that I'm paralyzed and unable to work..I'm here to ask for help since I really don't know where else to turn..I would truly appreciate it to have help from anyone who can be of assistance..I would always love doing whatever I could to help the random people I would come across and be able to see that they were taken care of..
If you are able to help with getting me my electric wheelchair, It'll literally make my transition back to the community so much easier on me and I'll be able to be more independant since I will be able to get around by myself instead of having someone to push me where I need to go..
I would truly appreciate your help if you can..Im about to be getting discharged from the hospital soon and yet Im still unable to get around on my own...I would love to leave as soon as I am able to..If you would like to help it would mean so much to me..I willingly accept any and all help that is given..I pray that you and your family remain safe during this pandemic and I hope that you have an amazing year ahead of you..Thank you from the bottom of my heart...
