Born with orthopedic defects in his hands, arms and legs, Chris is dependent on a wheelchair van for work, grocery shopping, medical appointments, family events and more. Chris and his wife Diana's aging wheelchair van was totaled in August 2021 when broadsided by a car that ran a red light. It was their only vehicle. Collision insurance, which their agent advised against for the old van, would cover only the $1500 replacement value.  A new van will cost approximately $40K for the base van and approximately $30K  for the handicap improvements.  Chris's physical disability limits work opportunities. He currently works part time on promotional activities at professional sports venues in Detroit with income well below that needed to finance a new van. He would be fortunate and grateful for any help with the cost of a van.
