Help Chris fund Apollo’s fight with cancer
Donation protected
Hello all. I’m filling this out on behalf of Christopher.
Roughly two months ago Chris’ dog Apollo had developed rather large lumps on his neck. Apollo was taken to the vet because the growths appeared rather suddenly and grew very quickly. The vet referred Chris and Apollo to a veterinary oncologist to run some tests. The test revealed that Apollo has B-cell Lymphoma, a type of white blood cell cancer.
The oncologist could not give an accurate time frame of how long Apollo would have if treatment was not administered. But they were able to say once Apollo starts showing signs of the cancer effecting him, it would be weeks.
With that information Chris decided to move forward with treatment. Which will be 26 weeks of chemotherapy. Unlike humans, we can’t get insurance for a dog with a preexisting condition. So all of this is being paid out of pocket. It is a pay as treatment is administered type system, but the totally cost will be around $26,000.
If any one of you reading this has met Apollo you know the money to keep him around as long as possible is worth it. But that doesn’t mean Chris couldn’t use a little bit of help to cover the cost. We are not at all expecting to reach the goal, but every little bit helps.
